Afghanistan, Kabul. A group of Afghan women wait to register their names with the UNHCR in Kabul. The women are among tens of thousands of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) across Afghanistan who are hoping to return to their homes following the fall of the Taliban. The UNHCR is offering help with transportation to refugees who register by the March 1 deadline. Many IDPs have spent five years living in near destitution in Kabul after their homes and farms were destroyed by the Taliban.
